Calculations are based on the ISO 5167 standard. The primary relationship between mass flow (qm) and pressure drop (DP) is:

qm = C * ε * (π/4 * d²) * sqrt(2 * ρ * DP)

This calculator iteratively solves this equation to find the pressure drop by calculating the Discharge Coefficient (C) and Expansion Factor (ε).
